Our Purpose
Our mission is to raise funds for the Rotary Club of Albury North, affiliated Rotary Clubs, and various Rotary Projects. Each year, we determine the main beneficiaries, with this year’s focus being:
Mental Health
We are dedicated to supporting mental health training programs for local community volunteers. Additionally, we have committed to a five-year, $10,000 La Trobe Scholarship for fifth-year psychology students, aimed at enhancing local capacity.
Say No to Domestic Violence
The Rotary Club of Albury North (RCAN) and local Rotary Clubs are actively driving and supporting this campaign. To align with this mission, we aim to allocate at least $5,000 of the funds raised to Yes Unlimited, an organisation that assists local families escaping domestic violence.
Programs to Support Women and Girls
In partnership with the Hive Rotary Club, which is helping with ticket sales and marketing, we have committed at least $5,000 and secured an additional $2,436 in Rotary District Grants for projects focused on women and girls. Our initial project involves supporting Cambodian initiatives that provide resources, training, and supplies for single mothers to create period panties. These products are then purchased by a local nonprofit, ensuring a sustainable income for these families. Collaborating with other Rotary Projects that supply sewing machines, one of the ongoing conditions of the funding is that children must remain enrolled in school.
Each year funds raised through the Travel Escape Club focuses on different causes to support. In 2022-23 youth suicide prevention was our major focus supporting the Solstice Documentary into schools. In 2023-24 we supported the development and delivery of a short course in mental health first aid and resilience for volunteers working across a broad spectrum of charitable organisations. In 2024-25 we funded, psychologist vouchers through Country Hope to assist families and young individuals diagnosed with life-threatening illnesses and we supported Carevan’s “Kids Cooking and Care Program”.

WHY run the Travel Escape Club?
To start with…this fundraiser is FUN for ticket holders, but while it may create excitement for those who join us as ticket holders, fundamentally its aim is to generate funds for those in our community and beyond who need support in some way.
Over the past three seasons with assistance from voucher donations, major sponsors, and great ticket sale results, we have successfully funded teaching resources for youth suicide prevention in schools, provided ongoing FREE mental health and well-being short courses for the community. We are committed to fund bursaries for psychology students for the next five years, and were supporting families and children facing life-threatening illnesses or difficult situations through Country Hope and Carevan, among other initiatives.
We love the fact we can help our community in these ways but we also love providing everyone who donates (buys a ticket) the chance to win fabulous prizes through being in a FUN and UNIQUE raffle. It’s a WIN WIN !!
We are currently exploring projects to address Rotary’s advocacy program “Say No to Domestic Violence” and would welcome any community or charitable organisations to approach us if they feel we could partner with them to provide funds towards their programs if it is supporting youth, women and domestic violence.

Draw Procedure Season 4
In compliance with NSW and Victorian legislative requirements, the monthly electronic draw of the SEVEN winning tickets will be witnessed by an independent person who does not hold a ticket.
The monthly draw will take place at 6pm before the Tuesday evening RCAN meeting, in the presence of Rotarians and guests. Witnesses may vary from month to month.
The first number drawn is for the first major prize. The second number drawn is for the second major prize. The five subsequent numbers are for the $100 vouchers. Each number drawn is recorded by the Travel Escape Club Committee person overseeing the draw and is checked and verified by our independent witness.
All winning tickets will be entered in all future draws in season 4.
